In the not-so-distant future, justice is no longer served in the present.

Condemned criminals are sentenced not to death — but to history. In Temporal Exile, one man is launched back to 79 A.D., moments before the eruption of Mount Vesuvius, as part of the world’s first televised temporal execution. But what the system didn’t expect… was his will to survive.

Part one of a larger saga in the Chronoverse, this illustrated short story blends dystopian punishment with unexpected rebellion. The consequences of tampering with time are only beginning.
